No. 17 West Chester Topples Clarion, 41-14; White Sets Two Rushing Records

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Rondell White rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns, and Sean McCartney went 23-for-25 for 316 yards and three TDs to lead West Chester to a 41-14 victory over Clarion in a non-conference regular-season finale at John A. Farrell Stadium Saturday afternoon.
 
West Chester (10-1) finishes the regular-season with its most victories since 2004 and will await the NCAA Division II Selection Show on Sunday night at 5 p.m. to see where and when their season will continue. Clarion (4-7) dropped its second season finale to West Chester in as many years.
 
White broke his own single-season rushing record in the win. He now has 1,626 rushing yards on the year. Last fall, White rushed for a then-school record 1,548 yards. His two TDs also gives him 19 rushing touchdowns this season, breaking the old record of 18, which had stood since 1967. Overall, White moved into second place on the school's all-time rushing charts with 3,973 career yards. He is 35 yards shy of the all-time record of 4,008 by Derrick Price (1987-90).
