WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Julia O'Brien posted nine kills and Marina Sharkey had seven, but host West Chester University dropped a 3-0 decision to visiting Lock Haven University Friday evening inside Hollinger Field House.
West Chester (14-16, 6-13 PSAC) suffered a big blow to the team's posteason aspirations with the loss. Lock Haven improved to 19-13 overall and 10-10 in the league. The Golden Rams fell by scores of 25-22, 25-17 and 25-18.
West Chester hit .215 for the match. However, Lock Haven was much more efficient at .344. Tori Hutchinson dished out 14 assists while Mandy Flynn added 11. Tyler Shaefer had 14 digs, and Callie Krajcir had 10.
The Golden Rams finish up their weekend homestand with their final home game of the regular-season against Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday at 1 p.m. It will be Senior Day for West Chester's seniors.
