Box Score LOCK HAVEN, Pa. - West Chester University senior RB Rondell White was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division offensive player of the week, it was announced by that organization Sunday afternoon.
White amassed 277 all-purpose yards in West Chester's 45-14 victory over No. 12 New Haven Saturday. White rushed for 96 yards, caught for 94 more and returned a pair of kickoffs for 87 yards as well. He scored three touchdowns and nearly reach 100 yards in three different categories during West Chester's win over a nationally ranked opponent. His first TD opened the scoring (10-yd run). He then scored twice in the final three minutes of the first half to help WCU open a 31-7 lead at the break. White caught a 13-yard pass and then ran in another from three yards out.
White wins the award in the first week of the season.
West Chester and Rondell White return to action on Saturday when the Golden Rams head to Erie, Pa., to take on Gannon University at 12 p.m.
