West Chester Defeats Cheyney, 68-55

CHEYNEY, Pa. – R.J. Griffin scored 14 points and Cory Blake added 13 to lead visiting West Chester to a 68-55 victory over host Cheyney inside Cope Hall Wednesday evening.
 
West Chester (13-6, 6-3 PSAC East) moved into a three-way tie for second place in the conference standings thanks to Millersville's upset win over Bloomsburg. Cheyney falls to 2-17 overall and 2-7 in the league.
 
The Golden Rams put four players in double figures as both Ben Mingledough and Ryan McKeaney notched 10 points. For McKeaney, it tied his career high and marked the second time in his career that he has reached double figures in a game.
 
Cheyney's Deshawn Curtis, the PSAC's leading scorer, led the Wolves with 15 points. Jerrod Johnson had 14.
 
West Chester returns home Saturday, Feb. 1 to take on PSAC East rival Mansfield at 4 p.m.
