Box Score WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Julia O'Brien (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) registered 14 kills, but visiting Lock Haven upended host West Chester, 3-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) women's volleyball match inside Hollinger Field House Saturday afternoon.
West Chester (11-7, 3-6 PSAC) saw its modest three-match winning streak come to a close Saturday at the hands of first-place Lock Haven (12-5, 6-3). The Lady Eagles took the match by scores of 25-17, 25-16, 20-25 and 25-23. The Golden Rams played much better in the second half of the match, but could not overcome its slow start. West Chester hit .114 in the opening set and .094 in the second set.
Annalee Halbert (Port Murray, N.J./West Morris Central) recorded 36 assists for the Golden Rams.
Karleigh Lutz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) and
Marina Sharkey (Newtown Square, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) each posted eight kills.
West Chester heads out West next weekend for the PSAC West Crossover matches with the rest of the Western Division Friday and Saturday.
