Box Score

FAIRMONT, W.Va. - Mike Wilson scored a team-high 21 points, and Parrish Grant added 17, but West Chester University could not complete the comeback in an 89-85 loss to Fairmont State in the Joe Retton Classic late Saturday night.

West Chester (1-1) trailed by as many as nine with just over three minutes left to play when the Golden Rams began its comeback. Grant fueled the comeback with the majority of his points coming down the stretch. However, four Golden Rams fouled out, and the Falcons were able to keep their visitors at bay the rest of the way. Grant came close to a triple double, adding eight rebounds and seven assists to his game totals.

Avery Brown tallied 14, and Cory Blake added 12 for West Chester.
