WEST CHESTER, Pa. - The 17th-ranked West Chester University Golden Rams are set to battle the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion Slippery Rock The Rock Saturday at 12:06 p.m. at John A. Farrell Stadium in the first round of the 2014 NCAA Division II Tournament.
The first 700 WCU students will receive a FREE ticket to the game. Those tickets can be picked up at the SSI Service Window across from the book store in Sykes Student Union. Students must have a valid student ID with them at the time of pick up, and they must also bring that ID with them to the game on Saturday. All remaining tickets will be available at the stadium's ticket window the day of the contest.
The general public can purchase tickets ahead of time by calling the WCU Ticket Office at 610-436-2266. Reserved, chairback seating is $11 with reserved bleacher seating $10. General admission seats are $8 while students are $3. No comp tickets will be handed out, and no passes will be accepted. Ticket windows open Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. Parking lots will open at 9 a.m. and cost is $5 to park.
West Chester (10-1) is the reigning Super Region 1 champion and is making its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Slippery Rock (9-2) is coming off a victory over Bloomsburg in the PSAC Championship Game last Saturday and is also making its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
