Rich Bruno (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) was named the overall special teams most valuable player of the Fifth Annual National Bowl Game that took place Dec. 6 at Alphonso Stadium on the campus of Florida International University.
A total of 40 scouts, including 11 from NFL teams and 5 from CFL clubs, watched the Blue Nation defeat the Red Nation, 17-14. Bruno punted for the Red Nation.
The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference was represented by 10 individuals in the game. Millersville LB Reggie Slaton was the defensive MVP of Red Nation while Clarion's Julian Howsare was the defensive MVP for Blue Nation.
