Dallas Ely (Montrose, Pa./Montrose) scored 20 points, and
Brittany Sicinski (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) added 18, but it was not enough as homestanding Bloomsburg downed visiting West Chester, 76-65, in a showdown between the top two teams in the PSAC Eastern Division standings Saturday.

West Chester (11-3, 8-3 PSAC) shot just 26.5 percent from the field (9-for-34) in the second half and made just 1 of 11 from 3-point range. Meanwhile, Bloomsburg (11-2, 9-1) made 12 of its 28 shots from the floor and hit on 11 of 15 from the foul line to outscore the Golden Rams, 36-23, after the break.

West Chester stayed right with a very hot shooting Bloomsburg squad through 20 minutes. The Huskies shot 53.6 percent from the field in the first half. However, the Rams shot 45.9 percent, which included 5 of 9 from beyond the arc, and only trailed 42-40 at the break.

Bloomsburg widened its lead on the rest of the Eastern Division with its win Saturday over second-place West Chester. The Golden Rams got just six points from their bench in the loss inside Nelson Field House.

Ely's 20-point night leaves her one shy of the 1,000 mark in her career. She has 999 career points and will become the 18th player in school history to reach that milestone when the Golden Rams return home Tuesday evening for a 6 p.m. non-league contest against Philadelphia University. Sicinski is right behind Ely with 927 career points.

Chikisha Steele-Hook (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Twp.) turned in her third double-double of the season with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Sicinski was one board shy of a double-double herself.

Adreanna Sadowski put up a game-high 22 points for the Huskies. She led three players in double figures. Marla Simmons had 16, and Morgan Klunk had 13.
