West Chester Women Down Pitt-Johnstown, 81-66

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Jr., G Brittany Sicinski (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) posted a team-high 24 points to lead the West Chester Golden Rams over PSAC West rival Pitt-Johnstown, 81-66, inside Hollinger Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon.
 
The Golden Rams (10-1, 7-1 PSAC) went on a 12-0 run in the first half to take a double-digit lead that it would not relinquish.  Pitt-Johnstown (7-5, 4-4 PSAC) could not recover, after turning the ball over 22 times in the contest as a result of the Rams' full-court pressure in the first meeting between the two teams since the 2006-07 season and the first as conference opponents.
 
Dallas Ely (Montrose, Pa./Montrose) added 17 points, six rebounds and two assists in the winning effort.  Anna Kuntz (Camp Hill, Pa./Trinity) registered her second double-double of the season, scoring  10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. She also led the team with four steals on the defensive end.
 
Maria Powell (Glen Mills, Pa./Rustin) contributed off the bench with a season-high 12 points, shooting 5-for-8 from the field. Chikisha Steele-Hook (Harrisburg, Pa./Susquehanna Twp.)  grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds to help the team outrebound the Mountain Lions, 53-40.
 
Mountain Lions' forward Jasmine Harper recorded a double-double to lead her team with 26 points and 11 rebounds. Olivia Rizzo added 11 points in the loss.
 
The Golden Rams will be back on the hardwood tomorrow at 1 p.m. as they welcome in nationally ranked Indiana (Pa.) to Hollinger Fieldhouse.
