Box Score 2 EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – For the second consecutive day West Chester volleyball dropped its first match of the day, but rebounded to secure a victory in its second match to split two matches inside Koehler Field House Saturday afternoon.
Sr., Molly Grammer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) led the Golden Rams (19-6, 7-6 PSAC) with a match-high 20 kills with only one error in West Chester's three set sweep (25-18, 25-18, 25-21) over Slippery Rock (10-16, 3-10 PSAC) in the second match of the day.
In the opener, Edinboro (21-2, 10-1 PSAC) took the match in straight sets (25-13, 25-22, 25-15).
Jillian Grammer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) registered 41 assists and six digs to aid the Golden Rams in the victory over the Rock.
Nicki Yates (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh), matched a season-high with 27 digs.
Victoria Cruciani (Phoenixville, Pa./Pope John Paul II) added eight kills with three blocks,
Samantha Agostini (Broomall, Pa./Cardinal O' Hara) had six kills,
Abbie Dischert (Wilmington, Del./Concord) put up fivw kills and contributed with four digs, while
Allie Duffy (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) added five kills amd three digs.
Molly Grammar paced the Golden Rams with 12 kills in the first match.
Callie Krajcir (Allentown, Pa. / Parkland) led West Chester with 13 digs and three service aces, Yates added 11 digs and Jillian Grammar had a team-high 24 assists with six digs.
West Chester returns to action on Friday night at 7 p.m., when it travels to take on Lock Haven in another key PSAC battle.
