Concordia Shuts Out West Chester, 2-0

Box Score

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester's  Men's soccer team out shot Concordia 10-8, but were unable to put one on goal in the 2-0 loss to the Clippers on a rainy and windy Saturday afternoon inside Rockwell Field.

The Golden Rams (3-5-2) also had the advantage in corner kicks at 7-1, but could not capitalize on those offensive opportunities as they would get shutout in their second-straight game. Concordia (5-2-1) went 2-for-5 in shots on goal and were able to force every shot that the Golden Ram's had either high or wide.

Clippers' forward David McKenzie scored the first goal of the game in the 78th minute after the Golden Rams were called off sides three minutes earlier. Teammate James Walters would add a goal six minutes later with traffic in front of the net to put the Clippers up by two to seal the win.

West Chester will look to get back on track as they welcome in visiting Pitt-Johnstown on Oct. 6th for a 2 p.m. match inside Rockwell Field.
