Miguel Ross (Pottstown, Pa. / Pottstown) led West Chester with two goals on the day as the Golden Rams shutout Seton Hill 2-0 inside Rockwell Field Saturday morning.
The Golden Rams (6-8-1, 4-6-1 PSAC) concluded their season with a victory and would finish it out defensively as they allowed Seton Hill to outshoot them 18-8, including a 12-3 margin in the second period. Seton Hill (5-12-1, 3-8-0) was unable to put the ball past WCUs goalkeeper after getting six corner kick opportunities down the stretch.
Ross kicked off the scoring with a shot over the goalkeepers head in the first 44 seconds of the match. He would provide insurance later in the 84th minute capitalizing on a one-on-one chance with the goalkeeper for his second score of the day.
Freshman
James Wood (West Chester, Pa. / Henderson) got the start at goal for the Golden Rams and gave an outstanding effort diving for the ball every second he got. He played all 90 minutes, making 10 saves and finishing with a 2-1-0 personal record in his rookie season.
It was also Senior Day at West Chester as the Men's Soccer team recognized their three seniors at halftime in defenseman
