Kyle Hoops (Phoenixville, Pa./Great Valley) scored in the first half, and
Miguel Ross (Pottstown, Pa./Pottstown) added the game-winner in the second half, to lead visiting West Chester to a 2-1 non-league men's soccer victory over host Goldey-Beacom Thursday afternoon.
West Chester (5-5-2) evened its record on the season with the road win.
Ross potted the game-winner in the 63rd minute to break a 1-1 tie.
Giovanny Mowrey (Bethlehem, Pa./Notre Dame Green Pond) picked up the assist. Hoops had given West Chester a 1-0 lead before halftime with his second goal of the season.
James Wood (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) picked up his first college win, making five saves in 90 minutes of action.
West Chester travels to East Stroudsburg next Tuesday for a big PSAC match.
