Field Hockey Travels To Kutztown Tuesday At 7 pm For PSAC Quarterfinal

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester University travels to Kutztown University Tuesday, Nov. 3 for a 7 p.m. quarterfinal round matchup in the 2015 PSAC Field Hockey Tournament.
 
West Chester (15-3, 7-3 PSAC) is the fifth seed in the postseason tournament and was 7-2 on the road year. Kutztown (12-6, 7-3) is seeded fourth in the tournament.
 
Tickets to all PSAC Tournament games are $7 for adults and $2 for students. Those students from PSAC member institutions, with a valid school ID, will be admitted free. No complimentary tickets are available. Only PSAC passes will be honored.
 
West Chester enters the postseason tournament as the defending champion, having defeated Millersville, 3-0, in the title game.
 
The Golden Rams spent part of the fall season ranked No. 1 in the nation by the NFHCA. West Chester is currently ranked third in the country and third in the latest NCAA regional poll, which is the determining listing for who qualifies for the NCAA Tournament.
  
The PSAC Semifinals and Championship Game will be played Friday and Sunday, Nov. 6 and 8 at East Stroudsburg University. The first semifinal will be played at 11 a.m. and will feature second-seeded Millersville versus the Shippensburg vs. Bloomsburg winner while the second semifinal will follow at 1:30 p.m. and will feature top-seed and regular-season conference champion ESU versus the Kutztown vs. WCU winner. The PSAC Championship Game will be Sunday at 1 p.m.
 
West Chester is 5-2 in the PSAC Tournament since re-classifying to Division II in 2011.
