NYU Sinks West Chester Swimming & Diving, 190-110

NEW YORK, Pa.  – Victor Polyakov (Taganrog, Russia) was a triple winner while Michael Oliver finished runner-up twice, but host New York University was too much for West Chester University, taking a 190-110 victory Saturday afternoon.
 
Polyakov won the 1000-yard freestyle, the 200 free and the 100 free to account for three of the Golden Rams' five first-place finishes on the afternoon. Dan Roy won the 3-meter springboard diving competition, and Tommy Tomsuden won the 200 butterfly for West Chester's other victories.
 
Oliver was runner-up in the 100 breaststroke and the 200 breaststroke. Meanwhile Geoffrey Boodey finished runner-up in the 500 free and was third in the 1000 free, behind Polyakov. West Chester swimmers took second, third and fourth in the 500 free. Dylan North and Philip Nawn were right behind Boodey in that event.
 
Shota Nakano placed third in the 100 breaststroke, behind Oliver. West Chester's 200 medley relay team was second overall.
 
Roy finished second in the 1m diving competition while Luke Kisiel was third. Kisiel placed third off the 3m board as well.
