WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester's women's volleyball team swept both Cheyney and Holy Family in a pair of matches Tuesday evening inside Hollinger Field House.
West Chester (20-10, 7-9 PSAC) downed PSAC rival Cheyney in straight sets by scores of 25-9, 25-10 and 25-18, before sweeping non-conference foe Holy Family 25-16, 25-20 and 25-16. The Golden Rams maintain their lead in the Southeast Division with the win over the Wolves. West Chester closes out its conference slate at home Friday and Saturday needing just one win to clinch a posteason bid into the PSAC Tournament.
Karleigh Lutz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) registered 13 kills in each of the wins to lead the Golden Rams' effort. Meanwhile,
Jillian Grammer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) posted 36 assists against Cheyney and 27 assists against Holy Family.
Nicki Yates (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) posted eight digs against Cheyney and seven more against Holy Family. Lutz added nine digs to her 13 kills against Cheyney.
