Tyrell Long (Philadelphia, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) scored a career-high 20 points, shooting 8-for-13 from the field, while Sr., guard
Avery Brown (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) matched Long with 20 points to lead No. 21 West Chester over visiting Cheyney, 102-71, in a PSAC East showdown inside Hollinger Field House Wednesday night.
The Golden Rams (20-4, 16-4 PSAC) took a commanding lead early (46-18) heading into halftime, after a 20-5 run to begin the game, which included four 3-pointers in the process. Cheyney (2-21, 1-19 PSAC) could not get back on track, allowing WCU to score 25 second-chance points. With the win, West Chester remains in a tie for first place atop the PSAC East standings with Kutztown with two games left on the regular-season slate.

Matt Wiseley (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) added 17 points and fell one rebound short of a double-double with nine, while
Malik Jackson (Lansdowne, Pa./Penn Wood) scored 14 points.
The Wolves' Eugene Lett recorded a team-high 16 points. Teammates Imir Bailey and Juan Mullen each poured in 11 points, while Basir Fulmore added 10 points. Cheyney stood toe-to-toe with West Chester in the second half (56-53), but could not overcome a slow start in the first 20 minutes of play.
West Chester, which was ranked fourth in the first NCAA Atlantic Regional poll that came out just before game time Wednesday, heads on the road for a two-game stretch to conlude the regular season. It begins with Millersville on Saturday at 3 p.m. and then a match-up at Kutztown on Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m.
Notes: West Chester's 102 points is the most points that West Chester has scored against Cheyney in the rivalry ... WCU has won 9 of its last 10 meetings with Cheyney, inclduing three by 30 points or more ... It is the Golden Rams' sixth straight victory in the all-time series ... Cheyney was also playing its second game in as many nights against the top two teams in the PSAC Eastern Division ... Kutztown defeated Cheyney, 90-84, on Tuesday night.
