WEST CHESTER, Pa. - West Chester University's men's tennis team topped visiting Millersville, 9-0, in a conference matchup on South Campus Thursday night.
West Chester (5-12, 2-3 PSAC) ended its five-match losing streak with the team's first conference win since March 26. All six singles matches were straight set wins for the Golden Rams.
Tony Deimler (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at second singles, following WCU's 3-0 sweep of the doubles competition, and then Charlie Rushing (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) then sewed up the decision with a 6-2, 6-2 win at first singles. That duo teamed up for a win at first doubles as well, 8-3.
West Chester hosts Bloomfield College on Monday at 3 p.m.
