WEST CHESTER, Pa. - On a cold and windy afternoon, West Chester University's men's tennis program dropped a 5-4 decision to visiting Caldwell University in a non-league match on South Campus.
West Chester (4-9) took two of the three doubles matches, but Caldwell rebounded to win four of the six singles and steal the match.
Charlie Rushing (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) and
Lucas Von der Heyde (Exton, Pa./Great Valley) teamed up at first doubles for an 8-2 decision while
Tony Deimler (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) and
Ryan Keffer (York, Pa./Central York) teamed up for an 8-2 win at third doubles.
Keanu Travelino (Kailua, Hawaii/West Hawaii Explorations Academy) picked up a 7-6(7), 6-2 win at fifth singles while
Aiden Henken (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) was a 6-3, 6-2 winner at sixth singles.
