WEST CHESTER, Pa.-The West Chester University women's soccer team (9-2-1, 9-2-0 PSAC) hosted the Gannon University Golden Knights (8-2-2, 7-2-2 PSAC) in a pivotal PSAC matchup on Friday afternoon. The Golden Rams went on to win by a final score of 1-0.
How it Happened:
- West Chesterbroke through early just four minutes into the contest when Kaitlyn McFadden(Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) converted a rebound off a shot from Madison Baxter(Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) to give West Chester a 1-0 lead.
- West Chester was able to hold on the rest of the way behind strong defense and three big saves from McKenna Mullin(Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) to preserve the 1-0 victory.
Inside the Numbers:
- West Chester outshot their guests by a 13-6 margin including a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal.
- McFadden's goal was her first of the year and she became the 11th Golden Ram to enter the goal column in 2017.
- Mullin recorded her fourth victory of the year and second shutout in this afternoons victory.

This is a huge win for us as they (Gannon) are a strong team and I really do think we played some of our best soccer of the season this afternoon."
