Women’s Soccer Wins Fifth Straight, Downing Lock Haven 2-1

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – West Chester (10-2-1, 10-2-0 PSAC) won its fifth consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match, defeating host Lock Haven (4-9-0, 3-9-0 PSAC) inside Stern Athletic Complex by a final score of 2-1 this afternoon. The win for the Golden Rams clinches a spot in the postseason. 
 
How it Happened
 
  • So., M Jenny Bail (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) put the Golden Rams ahead early in this PSAC matchup, knocking in a goal off a rebound at the 12:48 mark. It was her fourth of season to tie for the team lead in that category.
  • Lock Haven's Ella Jones tied the match up at 32:34, scoring off a corner kick.
  • In the 63rd minute, West Chester's Tayler Jamison (Honey Brook, Pa. / Twin Valley) notched her first goal of the season that proved to be the game winner. Her shot from 30 yards out banked in off the far post to lift the Golden Rams past Lock Haven, 2-1.

  • Sr., GK McKenna Mullin (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) recorded the victory in-between the pipes. She made a save while surrendering a goal.
  • West Chester outshot Lock Haven 15-5 and 6-2 in shots on goal.
