No. 7 West Chester Clinches Fourth Seed In PSAC Tournament With 7-1 Win At IUP

INDIANA, Pa. - Rachal Toppi (Glassboro, N.J./Glassboro) had a hat trick as visiting West Chester scored five unanswered goals after halftime en route to a 7-1 victory over host Indiana (Pa.) Saturday afternoon at Miller Stadium.

West Chester (12-6, 6-4 PSAC) finishes in a tie for fourth place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference regular-season standings with Bloomsburg and receives the fourth seed in the upcoming postseason tournament next week. The Golden Rams will host Bloomsburg (10-8, 6-4) on Halloween at 4 p.m. at Vonnie Gros Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- West Chester scored five unanswered goals after halftime to open up a 2-1 game.
- Rachal Toppi scored two of her three goals on the day during that spurt.
- Taylor Bracale scored her first goal of the season. She also registered a defensive save in the game.
- Catie McNamara and Kelsey Munster each scored in the second half as well.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- West Chester held a decided 23-5 advantage in shots and a 12-5 edge in penalty corners.
- Goalkeeper Marissa Elizardo made one save in goal to improve to 12-6 on the year.
