Nikki Zaso (Cherry Hill, N.J. / Cherry Hill East) registered a pair of goals to help down visiting Millersville in conference action, 3-1, inside Rockwell Field this afternoon.
How it Happened
- West Chester (7-2-1, 7-2 PSAC) registered its second straight conference win, tallying the first three goals of the contest. All goals were scored in the second half.
- Zaso deflected a shot by teammate Claire Jacobs (Chambersburg, Pa. / Chambersburg) to take an early 1-0 advantage at 53:46.
- Ten minutes later, Zaso provide her second of the match with a shot that beamed into the right corner. Credited with an assist on the play was senior Shannon Cooley (Frederick, Md. / Urbana).
- Contributing the third goal was sophomore Jenny Bail (Carlisle, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) at the 78:09 mark.
- Millersville (3-6-2, 2-6-2 PSAC) added a goal late in the contest as Kay Kiebl beat West Chester's goalkeeper McKenna Mullin (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy).
Inside the Numbers
- Mullin was solid in-between the pipes for the Golden Rams, tallying her second win of the season. She made six saves, while only surrendering one goal.
- Millersville's goalkeeper Katia Mujica produced five saves, but allowed three goals.
- West Chester led in shot (17-8) and shots on goal (8-7)
- The Golden Rams managed an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks
