KUTZTOWN, Pa.-The West Chester University women's volleyball team (23-7, 12-6 PSAC) wrapped up their 2017 regular season when they traveled to Kutztown (10-21, 4-14 PSAC) for a PSAC Southeastern Division showdown. The Golden Rams defeated the Golden Bears in straight sets (25-19, 25-19, 26-24) to end the season on a three match winning streak. This victory gives West Chester the number six seed in the upcoming PSAC championships which will begin next week.
How it Happened:
- The first set was back and forth the entire way West Chester finally pulled away late in the set to win the first set 25-19.
- In the second set West Chester was able to take an 11-5 lead early in the set and they used this early advantage to cruise to a 25-19 second set win.
- The third set was close once again and the Golden Rams battled hard especially down the stretch winning this set by a 26-24 margin.
Inside the Numbers:
- Karleigh Lutz (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) led the way in kills with 11 on the match while also chipping in 14 digs along the way.
- Jillian Grammer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) led the way in assists with 28 assists.
- Nicki Yates (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) registered a team high 22 digs as well.
- West Chester had a hitting percentage of .142 while holding Kutztown to a hitting percentage of just .086.

West Chester will be the six seed in the upcoming PSAC tournament they will be traveling to Seton Hill on tuesday evening.
