West Chester Men's Tennis Drops Decision At Philadelphia University



PHILADELPHIA - Norman Patten (Warminster, Pa./Council Rock South) won his match at first singles, but it was not enough, as visiting West Chester University's men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to host Philadelphia University Thursday afternoon.

West Chester (1-8), still playing short-handed, had to forfeit fifth and sixth singles as well as third doubles.

However, Patten was strong at first singles, posting a 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 (7) victory.

West Chester will take on Harford Community College on Saturday in another non-league tilt.
