EDINBORO, Pa. - Edinboro swept the singles matches, after taking two of three in doubles play, to earn an 8-1 victory over visiting West Chester in a matchup of regionally ranked opponents Sunday morning.
West Chester (0-4, 0-2 PSAC), ranked ninth in the latest ITA Atlantic Region rankings, picked up a win from its third doubles team of
Charlie Rushing (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) and
Aiden Henken (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin), 8-5. Rushing later battled the two-time defending PSAC individual champion, Vitor Albanese at first singles, but fell 6-0, 6-2. Edinboro (7-1, 2-0) is ranked fifth in the region.
West Chester will be back in action down south during spring break.
