PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – West Chester's freshman forward
Cameron Peploe (Northampton, Pa. / Northampton Area HS) wasted little time adjusting to the collegiate game, tallying his first career goal to help lift the Golden Rams over host Jefferson University 1-0.

Brett Miller (Washington Crossing, Pa. / Council Rock North) connected on a long pass down the field to allow Peploe to find the back of the net at the 18:42 mark in the first half at Ravenhill Field.
That proved to be the difference in this one as West Chester's goalkeeper
James Wood (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) registered his first shutout of the season by recording three saves to preserve the victory.
This is the first victory of the season for the Golden Rams (1-0-0) as they defeated Jefferson University (0-1-0) in non-conference action.
West Chester's next match is the home opener against non-conference opponent Georgian Court on Sunday, September 3
rd at noon.
