KUTZTOWN, Pa. – West Chester's women's soccer (5-2-1, 5-2 PSAC) dropped a tough one to host No. 2 Kutztown (9-0, 7-0 PSAC) at Keystone Field this afternoon by a final score of 2-0.
How it Happened:
- Kutztown jumped out to an early advantage, capturing the first goal of match at the 13:09 mark. A cross by Emily Zwiercan setup Randi Smith to make it 1-0.
- The Golden Bears tacked on another as Maddie Mohr registered the goal for a 2-0 advantage.
- That was enough for Kutztown's goalkeeper Jenna Bracken, who tallied seven saves to earn the win and a shutout.
Inside the Numbers:
- So., GK Brooke Myers (Middletown, PA / Middletown) produced a season-high fives saves despite the loss for the Golden Rams.
- West Chester was favored by two in shots at 13-11.
- Both teams were tied at seven apiece for shots on goal.
- The Golden Rams managed a 12-5 edge in corner kicks.
