WEST CHESTER, Pa.- In need of a victory the West Chester University women's soccer team (9-3-1, 8-3-1 PSAC) was back at home on Sunday afternoon against Lock Haven (8-3-1, 8-3-1 PSAC). West Chester got the win it was looking for winning by a final score of 2-0.
How it Happened:
- In the 34th minute, West Chester scored first as Kendall Rich (West Long Branch,N.J./Shore Regional) took an assist from Linzi Wolfe (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) to give West Chester the early 1-0 lead.
- The lead grew in the 62nd minute when Wolfe split a pair of defenders off an assist from Kaitlyn McFadden (Philadelphia,Pa./Archbishop Ryan) to extend the lead to 2-0.
Inside the Numbers:
- West Chester outshot Lock Haven by 6-4 margin including a 4-3 advantage in shots on goal.
- West Chester ended the game with a 13-6 advantage in shots and a 10-4 advantage in shots on goal. West Chester also held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.
- Brooke Myers (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) worked hard in goal making four impressive saves while her counterpart Lock Haven goalie Bree Hilty made eight big saves of her own in the 2-0 loss.
