West Chester Men Fall vs Lehigh

BETHLEHEM, Pa.-
The West Chester University men's swimming and diving team was back in action on Friday night at Lehigh. West Chester competed well but Lehigh proved to be too much slipping past West Chester 164-77.

West Chester began the night well as the team of Sean Bell (Columbia, S.C./Blythewood), Jarod Anderson (Newville, Pa./Big Spring), Joao Pedro Barreto (Niteroi, Brazil) and Pijus Mackevicius (Kaunas, Lithuania) captured the 200-medley relay in a time of 1 minute and 34.72 seconds to edge Lehigh, thus, jumping out to an early lead in the meet.

West Chester won its second event of the night when Logan Brockway (York, Pa./Dallastown) captured the 200 IM 1:57.02 defeating the second-place finisher by well over a second and approaching two seconds.

Anderson picked up his second victory of the night in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:11.90 to cruise defeat his Lehigh competitors by almost a full second.
Barreto was second in both the 200 butterfly and 50 free while Keir Uhlin (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) and Dylan North (Airville, Pa./Red Lion) took second and third in the men's 1000-yard freestyle.

Jonas Ricci (Palmyra, Pa./Palmyra) also took second in the men's 1-meter diving competition.

West Chester will be back in the pool next Friday night at Bloomsburg beginning at 5 p.m.
