West Chester Men Open Swim Season With Loss At NYU

NEW YORK – West Chester University's men's swimming & diving squad opened its 2018-19 campaign with a 194-95 setback at New York University Saturday afternoon.
 
West Chester picked up wins in two individual events as well as the 400-yard freestyle relay. But, NYU proved to be too deep for the Golden Rams.
 
How it Happened
  • Sean Bell won the 100 backstroke in 52.79
  • Logan Brockway won the 200 Individual Medley in 1:58.44
  • The 400 free relay posted a time of 3:12.01 to win that event

Inside the Meet Results
  • Brockway finished second in the 100 butterfly and third in the 100 backstroke
  • West Chester claimed the top three spots in the 200 IM and top two spots in the 400 free relay
  • Keir Uhlin finished runner-up in the 500 and 1000 free. He made a late-race push in the 1000 free, but couldn't quite win.
  • Dylan North was runner-up in the 200 backstroke
  • Pijus Mackevicius was second in the 50 free
