BLOOMSBURG, Pa.-With a spot in the PSAC Championship on the line for the second year in a row the West Chester University women's soccer team traveled to Bloomsburg to take on the top-seeded Huskies. West Chester and Bloomsburg played a to 1-1 draw but the Huskies prevailed in PKs to advance to the PSAC Championship game on Sunday.
How it Happened:
- In the first half, each side had its opportunities but both defenses played well to keep the game scoreless heading to the halftime break.
- In the second half, Maggie McDonald opened the scoring for Bloomsburg with a flying header to give the Huskies the 1-0 lead early in the half.
- In the 86th minute, Jenny Bail (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) took an assist from Nikki Zaso (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill East) to make the score 1-1 and send the game into overtime.
- The two sides battled through overtime to end the game in a 1-1 draw. However, Bloomsburg had the upper hand in PKs ending with a 2-0Â advantage to advance to the PSAC Title game on Sunday afternoon.

- Bloomsburg ended the game with a 17-12 advantage in shots including a 6-5 advantage in shots on goal. The Huskies also ended the game with a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.Â
- McKenna Mullin (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) got the start in goal and played the full 110 minutes making four big saves before giving way to Brooke Myers (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) who was the goalie for West Chester in PKs. Bloomsburg goalie Jenna Hawkins also played well between the pipes for the Huskies making four big saves of her own in addition to four stops during PKs to hold off West Chester,

West Chester's fate is now in the hands of the selection committee as they will make the decision on Monday night as to whether or not the Golden Rams season will continue to the NCAA Tournament. Head Coach Betty Ann Kempf Townsley has never missed an NCAA Tournament in her West Chester coaching career and the Golden Rams have not been left out of the field since 2003.Â
