SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. - West Chester University heads back to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championship Game this Saturday against Western Division champion Slippery Rock at 1 p.m. inside Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.
Saturday's meeting marks the 19th meeting between the two powers from each side of the state, including an encounter in each of the past five seasons. It is also the eighth time that the two sides have met for the conference crown with the last coming just three years ago in 2015.

West Chester finished up an unblemished conference slate with a 48-14 win over Lock Haven University last weekend on Homecoming at John A. Farrell Stadium. The Golden Rams were a bit sluggish in the outset. But, the Golden Rams put together a 31-0 run in the second and third quarters to put the game out of reach rather quickly.

West Chester is looking to go 10-0 to start a season for the first time since 1967 while ending a personal eight-game losing streak in the "State Game". The Golden Rams are trying to pick up their first conference title outright since 1971. Their last co-championship was in 2007 – one year before the State Game was re-instated and the conference had a true champion. From 1988 to 2007, the winners of the East and the West were declared co-champions. West Chester was a co-champion six times (1989, 1992, 1994, 1999, 2004, 2007).

• This broadcast will be produced by the California University (Pa.) student television station, per an agreement with the PSAC office.

• Tickets can be purchased on game day. The stadium gates will open at 11 a.m.

• SRU Students – FREE with valid student ID
• WCU Students – FREE with valid student ID

PARKING
• Parking is available in the lots surrounding the stadium
• Parking spaces are $5 in all tailgating lots (directly below stadium)

TAILGATING
• Tailgating is allowed in paid lots three hours before kickoff (lots open at 10 a.m.)
• No Tailgating at halftime
• All Tailgaters must enter game at kickoff

TOYS FOR TOTS DRIVE
The Slippery Rock Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves to host a Toys for Tots drive at the game. The first 100 fans that bring a toy to donate will receive free admission to any men's and women's basketball doubleheader between Dec. 15 and January 21, excluding the Jan. 12 games against Indiana (Pa.).
