MANSFIELD, Pa. - The West Chester University men's basketball team embarked on the Decker Gymnasium on Thursday night to battle Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) foe Mansfield University.

Sparked by a career-high 16 points from Terrence Moore (Philadelphia, Pa. / Audriend), the Golden Rams easily took care of the host Mountaineers 90-56 on Thursday night to notch up WCU's overall record to 18-4 on the year behind a 14-4 mark in league play. Thursday's 96-point outing marks the third game in a row that the Golden Rams have scored at least 95 points and Thursday's output signals the fifth game in the last 10 that WCU has notched at least 90 points overall. The road victory keeps the Golden Rams in second place in the PSAC Eastern Division and keeps West Chester's hope for a first-round bye alive, while the 44-point win pushes WCU's winning streak over Mansfield to 16 games in a row.

The visitors jumped out to a 14-7 advantage to begin the game, before a triple by Jawan Collins (Yeadon, Pa. / Academy Park) sparked a 15-0 run to extend the Golden Rams' lead to a sizable 29-7 with just under 10 minutes to play in the opening half.  The Mountaineers managed to hack the deficit down to 14 points with under two minutes to play in the half, but West Chester answered right back with an 11-2 run to close out the opening half on top, 48-25.

The Golden Rams continued to keep the pressure up to start the second half, starting the stanza with an 11-3 spurt to go up 59-28 with just under 15 minutes remaining. The visitors maintained a 30-plus point lead for the duration of the final frame and a layup by Moore with 42 seconds to play gave West Chester its biggest advantage of the game at 96-56. A triple by MU's Taylor Sweeney ended the game to bring the final score to 90-56 in favor of the visiting Golden Rams.

West Chester connected on 36-of-77 (47%) of its attempts from the field and 39% (13-of-33) of its shots from deep in the win. WCU dominated the bench scoring battle 55-19 on Thursday and tallied 35 second chance points compared to just 12 by the Mountaineers.

It was the Golden Rams' bench that carried a majority of the scoring load on Thursday, as Moore notched 16 points and Evan-Eric Longino (Furlong, Pa. / Germantown Academy) tallied 14 points coming off the pine. Jackson Hyland (Avondale, Pa. / Kennett) and Frank Rokins (Plainfield, N.J. / St. Mary's) both contributed 12 points in the win, with Rokins adding a team-high eight rebounds and two blocks on Thursday night.

MU's Matt Tamanosky's 18 points  and nine rebounds led all players in Thursday's loss.
