Frank Tranzilli Named To College Football America 2018 Starting Lineup

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester University junior offensive lineman, Frank Tranzilli (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) was named to the College Football America Starting Lineup, and West Chester was listed 29th in the magazine's preseason Top 30 it was announced Sunday afternoon.
 
Tranzilli is coming off a 2017 campaign in which he was a Don Hansen Football Gazette All-Super Region 1 selection, first team All-PSAC East and All-ECAC. He helped generate a 33.1 points per game average for the Golden Rams as the only offensive lineman on the squad to start all 13 games at the same position. West Chester ranked fifth in the PSAC with 188.7 rushing yards per contest. Through the air, the Golden Rams produced 218.3 yards for a grand total of 407 yards per game average.
 
Two players each from Harding and West Florida lead the College Football America 2018 Yearbook Division II Starting Lineup, CFA's version of an All-America team.
 
West Chester's football squad also appeared in the magazine's preseason Top 30, coming in at No. 29. The Golden Rams reached the second round of the NCAA II Playoffs a year ago, before bowing out to Indiana (Pa.) on the road.
 
West Florida, coming off an appearance in the Division II national championship game in 2017, is No. 1 in the College Football America 2018 Yearbook Division II preseason Top 30.
 
The Argonauts, in just their second year as a varsity program, reached the national title game before losing to Texas A&M-Commerce.
 
IUP is No. 2, followed by No. 3 Harding, No. 4 Minnesota State and No. 5 Texas A&M-Commerce.
 
The College Football America 2018 Yearbook features more than 930 college football teams from the United States and Canada in more than 300 striking, full-color pages. That includes every team from the NCAA (FBS, FCS, Division II and Division III), NAIA, NJCAA, CCCAA and U Sports (Canada). It also includes updates on club football, one-year postgraduate prep/sports academies and Mexican college football, along with dozens of action shots and stadium photos taken by the CFA staff.
