WEST CHESTER, Pa.-The West Chester University women's soccer team (5-0-1, 4-0-1 PSAC) was back in action on Friday afternoon against Pitt-Johnstown (3-5, 3-4 PSAC). West Chester used some early offense to roll to a 2-0 victory over Pitt-Johnstown.
How it Happened:
- West Chester broke through in the 30th minute when Jenny Bail (Carlisle, Pa./Cumberland Valley) took an assist from Priscilla Walsh (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) to give West Chester the 1-0 lead with 15 minutes to play in the first half.
- In the 62nd minute, West Chester scored again when freshman Kendall Rich (West Long Branch, N.J./Shore Regional) scored her fourth goal of the season finishing a ball that was tipped around in the box to extend the lead to two.Â
Inside the Numbers:
- West Chester held a solid advantage in shots out shooting its guests by a margin of 21-4Â including 9-2 in terms of shots on goal.
- West Chester also held an advantage of 9-0 in corner kicks.
- McKenna Mullin (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) played well in goal making two saves in her 83 minutes of work before Brooke Myers (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) entered for the final seven minutes.Â
- With this afternoon's shutout victory the streak has now reached a whopping 481 minutes as the Golden Rams prepare for their next contest on Sunday afternoon against Bloomsburg.Â
