Men's Tennis Takes Part in the PSAC Individual Championships

BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -
The very best from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) gathered at the Burt Reese Tennis Center on Saturday to kick off the 2018 PSAC Men's Tennis Individual Championships.

WEST CHESTER RUNDOWN
  • The West Chester University men's tennis squad sent three individuals to Bloomsburg for the tournament, as junior Adam Courtemanche (GREENVILLE, RI/SMITHFIELD) and freshmen Chris Succi (YARDLEY, PA/PENNSBURG HIGH SCHOOL) and Devin Paulison (MILFORD, PA/DELAWARE VALLEY) all made the trip to the Burt Reese Tennis Center on Saturday morning.
  • Appearing in just their second collegiate event as a duo, the WCU tandem of Succi/Paulison dropped their opening-round doubles match to Edinboro's Mauricio and Mateus Santos 8-0 to kick off the tournament. 
  • In singles play, Courtemanche fell in his first match 6-0, 6-4 to Bloomsburg's Ben Tauber, while Succi lost to Mateus Santos 6-0, 6-1 to close out the Golden Rams' weekend.

TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
  • The 2018 PSAC Individual Championship will run through the weekend with the champions of both the singles and doubles divisions being crowned on Monday morning.

UP NEXT
  • West Chester will hold its first team event on Tuesday, October 9, when the Golden Rams welcome Chestnut Hill to campus for a match at 2:30 p.m.
