WILMINGTON, Del.- The West Chester University women's soccer team (2-0-1) took to the road on Wednesday afternoon looking to make it two in a row opposite CACC foe Wilmington (1-2). This was the Golden Rams lone non-conference game of the year and they made the most of out of it as they cruised to a 3-0 win over the Wildcats.
How it Happened:
•   In the first half, West Chester outshot its hosts by a huge 14-1 margin but thanks to nine impressive saves from Wilmington goalie Kate Tubo the game remained scoreless heading to the halftime break.
•   In the second half, West Chester continued to outshoot its hosts this time winning the battle by an 11-3 margin but in this half three of those shots managed to find the back of the net.

Olivia Muha (Pittsburgh, Pa./Montour) opened the scoring in the 54th minute, with a header off a cross from
Gabrielle White (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) to give West Chester the 1-0 lead.

Nikki Caffey (Holland, Pa./Council Rock South) followed this up in the 60th minute, with her second goal of the year this time on a PK to extend the lead to 2-0.
•   West Chester scored one more time in the 78th minute, when
Kendall Rich (West Long Branch, N.J./Shore Regional) took a pass from
Katie McGrath (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) and deposited it in the back of the net to make the score 3-0 in favor of West Chester.
•   This was all the support
McKenna Mullin (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) and the rest of her defense would need as Mullin made three saves to keep Wilmington off the scoreboard. Her Wilmington counterpart Tubo was impressive in goal as she made 12 great saves to keep the Wildcats in the contest the best she could.
Inside the Box Score:
•   West Chester ended the game outshooting Wilmington by a 25-4 margin overall with an advantage of 15-3 in terms of shots on goal.
•   West Chester also held a 14-1 advantage in corner kicks.
•   Four Golden Rams recorded their first career points this afternoon as Muha and Rich scored their first career goals while McGrath and White logged their first career assists.

West Chester will stay on the road traveling to Clarion on Saturday with that game scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. before coming home next Saturday (September 15th) to face Mercyhurst at 12 p.m.
