Junior center
Tim Toro (SCRANTON, PA./ABINGTON HEIGHTS) opened the game with four quick points to give the visitors the 4-0 advantage and the Golden Rams never looked back. West Chester would go on to build a cushion as large as 13 over the Mountain Cats in the opening half, before eventually clinging to a 34-22 advantage to end a tough first half that saw both teams combine to shot just 4-of-22 from beyond the arc.
West Chester maintained its double-digit advantage for a majority of the second stanza, until a 5-0 UPJ run brought the visitors within striking distance (62-57) with just under three minutes to play. West Chester went on to score the next four points to extend its advantage to nine, and senior
Frank Rokins (PLAINFIELD, N.J./ST. MARY'S) would close out the game by scoring the final four points of the contest to give WCU the big 70-58 victory in PSAC-crossover action.
