WEST CHESTER, Pa. - No. 14-ranked West Chester men's soccer team is now 6-1-1 on the season following their 3-0 victory over Shepherd on Wednesday. The Golden Rams recorded a season-high 26 shots against the Rams.

How it happened:
- The Golden Rams struck first in the 26th minute of play as freshman Ryan Belfiore (Bel Air, Md. / C. Milton Wright) scored his second goal of the season. Belfiore's goal was a header off a corner kick from junior Stephen Thompson (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley), his third assist of the season.
- West Chester maintained the 1-0 lead for the duration of the first half.
- Fifteen minutes into the second half, sophomore Austin Eveland (Kennett Square, Pa. / Kennett) scored a goal off the bench to increase West Chester's lead. Belfiore picked up the assist on the goal.
- Junior Daniel Grindrod (Neshaminy / Feasterville, Pa.) scored a goal in the final minute of action, sealing the deal for the Golden Rams. Freshman Matt Stevenson (Lansdale, Pa, / Pennridge) had the assist.

- Belfiore had a career high in points, scoring a goal and an assist for West Chester.
- The Golden Rams led Shepherd 26 to 6 in shots, including 17 shots in the second half.
- Daniel Good (Exton, Pa. / Downingtown East) tallied his fourth shutout on the season while recording six saves against Shepherd.
- West Chester remains tied with Millersville University for the top spot in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division following their victory against Shippensburg.
