WEST CHESTER, Pa. - No. 12-ranked West Chester women's soccer (7-1, 6-1 PSAC) took down Shippensburg University (4-6, 2-6) on Saturday afternoon. A late goal in the second half allowed the Golden Rams to seal the conference victory.
How It Happened:
- Within the first five minutes of play, junior Olivia Muha (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Montour) scored on a quick drive down field on an assist from senior Madison Baxter (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East).
- In the 15th minute, Shippensburg senior Izzy Weigel scored on an unassisted goal to tie the game, 1-1.
- In the 78th minute, Muha scored the game-winning goal from point blank range.
Inside The Numbers:
- Senior goalkeeper Brooke Myers (Hershey, Pa./Middletown) improves to 7-1 so far this season with just four goals against.
- Muha and junior Hannah Zach (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) lead the team with five goals each on the season.
