INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - West Chester University's football squad stood pat at No. 7 in the latest NCAA Super Region 1 Poll that was released on Monday.
West Chester (8-2) defeated Lock Haven, 56-14, on Saturday and as a result jumped into the American Football Coaches' Association (AFCA) poll at No. 24. However, the win was not enough to push the Golden Rams up the regional rankings in Super Region 1. The top seven schools make the NCAA II Playoffs. However, a conference champion ranked 8 thru 10 could slide into the seventh position with an "earned access" bid to the tournament.
The Golden Rams host Cal U (7-3) on Saturday at John A. Farrell Stadium at 1 p.m. on Senior Day. The Vulcans' three losses are to teams with a combined 29-1 record on the season.
