WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Senior
Kat Roncoromi (Lebanaon Twp., N. J/Voorhees) scored four goals as the West Chester Golden Rams finished their undefeated regular season with a 7-2 victory over No. 10 Mansfield. It was also senior day as the Golden Rams honored their seven graduating seniors.
How it Happened:
- The Golden Rams dominated in the first quarter, scoring four of their goals to take an early lead.
- Roncoroni scored her first two goals of the day in the fifth and ninth minutes. Fellow senior Katie Thompson (Washinton, N. J./Warren Hills) recorded an assist on the second goal.
- The Golden Rams earned a penalty shot in the 10th minute of action. They turned to junior Emma Velez (Coatesville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan), who beat the goalkeeper in the upper left corner to increase the Golden Rams' lead.
- In the final minute of the first quarter, Roncoroni earned the hat trick, scoring off of an assist from fellow senior Caitlin Kelly (Coatesville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan).
- Mansfield's Saramae Radel got on the board for Mansfield in the 23rd minute.
- West Chester responded four minutes later, as Roncoroni scored her fourth and final goal on the day. Junior Caitie McNamara (Buderim, Australia) tallied an assist on the goal.
- The Golden Rams scored quickly to start the second half as Marre Corver (Aarlanderveen, The Netherlands) scored in the 32nd minute. Roncoroni picked up the assist.
- Meghan Griffin scored in the 44th minute as the Mountaineers attempted to chip into the Golden Rams' lead.
- The lone goal in the fourth quarter belonged to West Chester as Velez scored her second of the day. McNamara and senior Sophie Ruppert (Manheim, Germany) picked up the assists.
Inside the Numbers:
- The Golden Rams outshot the Mountaineers 34-5 on the day.
- West Chester is now 18-0 on the season and has outscored its opponents, 86-9, in the process.
- Roncoroni's four goals brings her up to 18 on the season, second behind fellow senior Katie Thompson.

West Chester will host the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament next weekend. The PSAC semifinals will take place on Friday, Nov. 8. Opponents and game times are to be announced (TBA). The PSAC Championship will take place on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 12:05 p.m. The Championship game will be aired live on the Pennsylvania Cable Network and ESPN+.
