ERIE, Pa. - West Chester University women's basketball stuck with Gannon University from start to finish in its first Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference game of the season but ultimately lost 80-73 Saturday on the road.

The Golden Knights (4-1 overall, 1-0 PSAC) took what would be their largest lead of the game on a layup to make the score 40-30 with 2:28 left to play in the first half. Three points from Golden Rams (2-4, 0-1) junior center
Justyn Roberts (Harrisburg, Pa. / C.D. East) made it 41-33 going into halftime.

West Chester was in it all the way, and a three-pointer from sophomore
Sarah Holweg (West Pittston, Pa. / Wyoming) had the Golden Rams down 76-71 with 51 second remaining in the forth quarter.

Roberts, with just 24 minutes played, tied senior teammate
Katherine Fisher (Rutledge, Pa. / Strath Haven) to lead all scorers in the game with 21 points each. WCU sophomore guard
