KUTZTOWN, Pa. - West Chester University volleyball extended its win streak to three on Friday night with a comeback victory at Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference opponent Kutztown University.

The Golden Bears (9-16 overall, 3-12 PSAC) won the first two sets 25-23 and 25-17. The Golden Rams (17-11, 5-10) bounced right back, winning the next three 26-24, 25-18, 15-10.

How it happened:
- The first set was close throughout as the two teams were tied at 23 before Kutztown stole the last two points.
- The Golden Bears never trailed in the second set and never let West Chester come close to taking a lead.
- West Chester's back was against the wall in the third set as it trailed 19-15. However, the Golden Rams rallied for four straight points as senior Rachel Robb (Blackwood, N.J. / Paul VI) recorded a kill to tie it. WCU outscored Kutztown 7-5 over the final 12 points to close it out.
- The Golden Rams carried their momentum into the next two sets as they comfortably won the fourth and scored the final seven points to win the fifth.
Inside the numbers:
- Sophomore Grace Whitney (Glenside, Pa. / Abington) recorded 12 kills and a match-high .333 hitting percentage. She also posted five total blocks.
- Sophomore Julia Vreeswyk (Yardley, Pa. / Pennsbury) led the Golden Rams with 15 kills.
- Senior Emily Ahern (Downingtown, Pa. / Downingtown West) put up 41 assists, two shy of her season high.
- Senior Shaye Whiteman (Gettysburg, Pa. / Gettysburg) had 20 digs. It's the ninth time this season that Whiteman reached 20 digs in a match.
