Box Score ERIE, Pa. – The West Chester University men's tennis team suffered its sixth straight loss on Saturday afternoon, as the Golden Rams took a 7-0 defeat on the road against nationally-ranked Mercyhurst at the Westwood Racquet Club in Erie.
WCU's loss on Saturday to kick off Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play drops the Golden Rams to 0-6 during the spring season and the sweep is the seventh straight for West Chester dating back to a 7-0 loss against Chestnut Hill back in October. Mercyhurst, the No. 29 ranked team in the country according to yesterday's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings, have now won three matches in a row and the squad will take a 9-2 overall record into their meeting with Millersville tomorrow afternoon.
