EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Fourth-ranked West Chester squandered a three-goal lead in the final two minutes of the contest, and then could not get the goal they were looking for in overtime, as host and eighth-ranked East Stroudsburg came from behind to defeat the Golden Rams, 15-14.

With the game knotted at 11-apiece with 12 minutes remaining, West Chester (6-2, 3-1) scored three straight times to take a 14-11 lead with just over two minutes left. However, Emma Rufalo sandwiched tallies around a goal by T.J. Jefferis to even things up and send the game into extra time. Rufalo had a hand in all three markers for ESU at the end, assisting on Jefferis' goal.

East Stroudsburg (7-2, 4-0) took over sole possession of first place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) standings with the win. Krista Mitarotonda scored the game-winner with 50 seconds left in OT.

Tara Morrissey (Downingtown, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) scored four goals for the Golden Rams while
Maggie Stella (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) registered a hat trick. Each finished with five points on the afternoon.

Drew McKinney (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West),
Sami Barnett (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) and
Kacey Kelly (Windsor, N.J./Notre Dame) each tallied twice in the contest.

East Stroudsburg's goalkeeper Tatyana Petteway made 18 saves, including 10 in the second half, to lead the hosts to the win. She frustrated the Golden Rams on free position attempts all day. The visitors finished 3-for-11 in that category. West Chester's
Julianne Clemens (Springfield, Pa./Springfield-DELCO) was credited with three saves in the loss.

West Chester returns home on Saturday to face Mercyhurst University at 1 p.m. at Vonnie Gros Field.
