WEST CHESTER, Pa. –
Brent Spano and
Noah DeCampo each picked up wins in singles, but visiting Virginia State took the top three singles and won the doubles point to steal a 4-3 decision in a non-conference men's tennis match Sunday afternoon.
West Chester (0-14) claimed two points by default as Virginia State (2-6-1) had just five players.
Spano won a three-set, tie-breaker at fourth singles, 3-6, 7-5, 9-7 while DeCampo was a 6-4, 6-4 winner at fifth singles.
West Chester takes on Millersville on Wednesday.
