FAIRMONT, W.Va. – The West Chester University men's tennis team capped off its weekend in West Virginia with a 6-1 loss against Fairmont State at the FSU Tennis Courts on Sunday afternoon.
The Golden Rams drop to 0-12 overall following Sunday's loss and brings the Golden Ram's record to 0-8 in road matches throughout the 2018-19 season. Host Fairmont State snapped a three-match losing streak with Sunday's win and the victory marks the first triumph for FSU on its home court this season.
WCU dropped all three doubles matches on Sunday by a combined score of 18-2 to take a 1-0 deficit into singles play.
The Golden Rams lone point came in the first singles match of the afternoon, as
Logan Bartholomew (ETTERS, PA/RED LAND) came out on top at sixth position due to a default by FSU's Tom Liddy.
Brett Spano pushed fourth flight to three sets on Sunday, but the junior ultimately fell 6-5, 2-6, 1-0 at the No. 4 spot to Ryan Leo.
